Dialogue of the interest groups: TABD, TLD and TACD

The New Transatlantic Agenda (NTA) signed in 1995 placed the EU-US partnership on a broad basis that includes civil society.

Among other things, a number of dialogues were initiated:

TABD - Transatlantic Business Dialogue, 1995
TLD - Transatlantic Legislators' Dialogue, 1995
TACD - Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue, 1998
TAED - Transatlantic Environment Dialogue, 1999-2001

The dialogue between the various interest groups on the two sides of the Atlantic is of great importance. The proposals emerging from this dialogue provide valuable input in terms of the common goal of good economic relations. High-level meetings of the three dialogue forums (TABD, TLD and TACD) are normally held in the margins of the EU-US summits.
