The Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council has been responsible for the four policy areas of employment, social policy, health and consumer affairs since June 2002. The Council meets four times per year. It is common practice that meetings for Employment, Social Policy, and Consumer Affairs are held on one day and the meetings of the Ministers of Health on the following day.
