An EU-Russia summit will take place on 25 May 2006 at 13.00 local time in the context of the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU. The summit is being organised by the Russian side in Sochi on the Black Sea.
The European Union will be represented by Federal Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel as President in office of the European Council, the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, and the Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union, Javier Solana. Russia will be represented by President Vladimir Putin.
