In his function as representative of the Council Presidency, State Secretary Hans Winkler will take part this afternoon in the plenary session of the European Parliament in a discussion of “Security of energy supply in the European Union” and of future financial cooperation between the EU and the ACP States (Africa, Caribbean, and Pacific). In addition, the State Secretary will make a statement on the “Criteria for EU measures to secure peace in the Democratic Republic of the Congo”.
Tomorrow morning, the State Secretary will make a statement based on the discussion in the plenary session of the EU Parliament, arranged at short notice, on the position taken by the Council on “the presidential elections in Belarus”.
