These tickets can be purchased at the welcome desk located in the baggage reclaim hall of Vienna Airport on presentation of the accreditation confirmation, press card or letter of confirmation from the media organisation.

The City of Vienna is offering all accredited media representatives free tickets for travel on "Wiener Linien" services. These tickets entitle media representatives to use all public transport in Vienna free of charge on the days on which the official events take place. The tickets will be issued at the accreditation desk in the EU2006 Media Accreditation Office of the Federal Press Service (Vienna, 1st district, Innerer Burghof).
Attendance of the press events organised as part of the programme and use of the press centre are reserved to accredited media representatives.
Applications for accreditation can be made via the Presidency website www.eu2006.at. Please note that the final date for registration for this event is 2.1.2006!

Access for accredited media representatives to the Hofburg press centre and to press events organised as part of the programme – except for the meeting in the Office of the Austrian President – is through the Innerer Burghof, the Schweizerhof and the Bibliothekshof.
Accredited media representatives will be admitted to the Office of the Austrian President between 14.45 and 15.15 (photo and film opportunity at the beginning of the meeting between members of the European Commission and Federal President Heinz Fischer at 15.30).
Accredited media representatives can use the facilities set up in the Hofburg press centre (Vienna, 1st district) for the duration of the Austrian Presidency.

The press centre is equipped with workstations, telephones, fax machines, PCs with Internet access (MS Windows XP and MS Word software), printers (b/w), photocopiers, electricity connections (220 V), TVs, cloakrooms, lockers, a lounge area, two cafeterias and a restaurant. Internationally standardised LAN, ISDN and analogue access points are available for Internet and data links for users' own portable devices. A W-LAN network has also been set up.

A limited number of booths are available free of charge for radio and TV broadcasters. The Austrian Presidency is providing standard equipment including one basic ISDN access point, one LAN access point, one analogue access point with telephone, one TV monitor, 220V electricity supply, 1-2 desks and 3-4 chairs. The booths and any additional equipment required can be booked from the Austrian Presidency's host broadcaster. The requesting stations will have to bear the costs of any such additional equipment.

Parking spaces for broadcast trucks (SNGs)
A limited number of parking spaces are available for media representatives in the Heldenplatz square. Parking cards will be issued on request at the accreditation desk in the EU2006 Media Accreditation Office of the Federal Press Service (Vienna 1st district, Innerer Burghof).
Parking spaces for broadcast trucks (SNGs) will be allocated by the host broadcaster.
The Austrian Presidency's host broadcaster and host photographer will attend all press events.
The host broadcaster will provide free audiovisual material and technical assistance to radio and TV stations.
