On Tuesday, 31 January, Council President Wolfgang Schüssel will take part in a meeting organised by the European Parliament in cooperation with the Austrian National Council and the Federal Council entitled "Parliaments on the road to Lisbon".
The aim of this meeting of parliaments is to improve the exchange of information and facilitate the elaboration of measures designed to lead to higher growth and a better employment situation in Europe. In this context, the first results of the national reform programmes will be examined.
