The Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Austria, Ursula Plassnik, speaking on behalf of the Presidency of the EU would like to express deep sympathy and condolences on the sad occasion of the death of Ms Coretta King. With her passing-away the United States has lost a strong and relentless voice for human rights, personal freedom and human dignity. Like her late husband Dr. Martin Luther King, Ms Coretta King was internationally respected for her unfailing commitment to these high goals. Her loss is felt by all of us.
