The Constitutional Treaty states that, until 2014, each Member State will continue to have one Commission member with the right to vote. After this, the number of Commission members will be reduced to two thirds that of the number of Member States, unless the European Council unanimously decides to change this provision. If the size of the European Commission is reduced, there will be a system of equal rotation of commissioners among the Member States.
