EU Statement on the OSCE presence in Tashkent

 

  1. The EU notes that the negotiations on a new mandate for the OSCE presence in Tashkent have been concluded. We hope that, under this new mandate, the OSCE will be able to continue its work in Uzbekistan, assisting the host country in meeting its OSCE commitments. The EU will follow developments closely.
  2. In particular we would like to express our appreciation to the Chairmanship for their efforts to work out this way forward that has now been achieved.
